The Mess Hall

One of my favourite places for a bite to eat in the city – especially on a sunny Spring afternoon – The Mess Hall, up at the Spring St. end of Bourke St, perfect coffee, and a quiet atmosphere the perfect thing to take a break from the busy cbd. (the doughnuts are pretty good too)

The view from the sunny window, here you can listen to the various protests at Parliament, perfect soundtrack to a Saturday afternoon (or not)

Vegetable Lasagne with delicious fennel salad.

My absolute favourite lunch in Melbourne – Orichette (little ears) with a duck ragu, carbo load for a ride across Melbourne and a night of running up and down the Commoner’s stairs – or for most of my peers, a night on the town!

And the obligatory post-pasta Glitzern drop in and drool.
