Ceiling Rose

So my Ceiling Rose piece has evolved from organic chandelier into a hanging wall piece for the September/October Little Arts group show in South Melbourne (yet to be named or really organized at all!).

I’ve been spending a little bit of time and will be spending a heck of a lot more time delicately sewing dried minature or spray red and pink roses onto an antique piano scroll – as pictured here from the devine blog Threading In The Choirs – the song on the scroll is called “Near You” it’s extremely cute, and the broken, backwards language fits in rather nicely to my aesthetic of playing with or altering language. I’ve already experienced one tiny rip, so lets keep our fingers, and toes, and knees, and everything crossed that I don’t have anymore!
